How Sprinting Improves
The Health of Your Feet
These days, its seems as though foot problems....

Are perhaps the most common of all chronic health problems.

I mean how many people do you know who have to wear some sort of weird foot orthotic or insole...

Just to be able to make it through the day without terrible foot pain?

A lot right? But why is this exactly?

The Real Cause of Many Foot Problems

Contrary to "conventional wisdom"...

The reason foot problems are so common, has very little to do with bad genetics, or even aging.

The truth is that in today’s modern living, even though we all use our feet constantly on a daily basis...

Our feet are one of the most under-exercised, and underdeveloped muscle groups on our entire body.

This is due...partly to the excessive padding of today’s shoes...

Partly to the unnaturally flat surfaces we now walk upon…

And partly because even in the gym, the vast majority of leg exercises are done from the heels...

Which virtually eliminates participation from the foot muscles.

Compare these conditions to a more natural lifestyle...

That regularly includes movements such as barefoot walking, jumping, climbing, and balancing...

And its obvious how we aren't using our feet nearly as much as we might think we are.

The Solution?

While all of the activities just mentioned are great for strengthening foot muscles...

And relieving or even reversing many chronic foot conditions....

The one that works best of all is sprinting. Or better yet, barefoot sprinting.

Ironically, the reason this is true...

Is that it is perhaps the most physically brutal activity you could ever do on your feet.

The first few times you do it, your feet will likely feel even worse.

However...the body is smart...

And it will learn very quickly that the old way of doing things with soft cushiony shoes...no longer work anymore.

And the only way to make easier the next time...

Is to start actively using your foot muscles the way they were naturally designed to be used.

And just like any other muscle group, they will get stronger day by day...

Until eventually whatever foot problem you struggle with becomes a thing of the past.

Of course, that's not a guarantee, as the list of potential foot problems is quite long.

But I'll still say, your chances are pretty damn good. So give it a try.
