How Sprinting Improves
Your Quality of Sleep
While all know that exercising improves your quality of sleep in many ways...

There's one specific characteristic of sprint training...

That offers a benefit not common to many other forms of exercise.

And the benefit I'm referring to is...

Balance Training

Various studies have shown that balance training specifically...

Engages the BRAIN, (not the body)...

In ways improve quality of sleep better than almost any other specific type of exercise.

You see, in order for the body to balance itself through any movement...

The brain makes THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of split-second calculations...

Each time, sending out a message to some part of your body...

To make some adjustment, to avoid falling.

The more complex the movement, the more mental energy expended...

And in theory at least…

The more your brain will be ready for a good night’s rest at the end of the day.

The Problem With Today's Gym Exercises

When you look at the typical gym exercises of today...

You'll see that SOOO many of them (machines specifically)...

Have been deliberately designed to take all uncertainties with balance out of the equation.

Reason being, it makes the exercise safer.

Unfortunately though, out in the natural world, where things aren't always so safe...

Developing your balance is one of the key life skills that actually KEEPS you safe and alive.

How Sprinting Trains Your Balance

As it turns out, sprinting develops a specific TYPE of balance...

Which the balance training you'd get from say...balancing on a tight rope.

Just imagine for a moment, running at full speed, with your arms and legs cycling as fast as they can...

And the ground blurring past you.

Now imagine if you fell in this exact moment.

It's not hard to imagine getting seriously hurt, possibly even dying, right?

Now imagine for another moment...

How many messages are being sent back and forth from the brain...

To each muscle in the body, in just a fraction of a second...

In order to AVOID falling. An enormous number, right?

And try to imagine what other exercise might require as information transfer as this.

Probably none right?

How many bicep curls a person would need to do...

To achieve the same level of mental workout as just 10 seconds of sprinting?

And so the theory is...

Just like how tiring out your body helps you to sleep at the end of a long day...

So too does tiring out your brain. Which is exactly what sprinting does for you.
